Positions Day Camp
July 12, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Commuters only - $80.00
Grades: 9-12
If you need extra training in a specific position or for a new role on your team; this is the camp for
you! Choose the skill that you would like to concentrate on and work with camp instructors who
have extensive training and knowledge in that position. Lunch is provided to all campers and is
included in camp cost. To secure your place in this camp a $40.00 non-refundable deposit is due
by July 1, 2008. First 20 campers to register will receive a free UAB Nike Gym Sack!!!
Individual Skills Camp
July 17 - 19
Commuter - $200.00
Resident - $250.00
Grades: 5-12
This three day camp is designed to develop or enhance the all-around game of each individual.
UAB camp staff members will offer instruction on the fundamental skills of volleyball as well as
“position specific” skills. Campers will have the opportunity to learn these skills in an individual and
game-like environment and will be divided by age, skill level, and position in order to provide the
appropriate learning environment. 3 meals a day will be provided to all campers (commuting
campers will not receive breakfast) and is included in camp cost. To secure your place in this camp
a $100.00 non-refundable deposit is due by July 1, 2008. First 20 campers to register will receive a
free UAB Nike Gym Sack!!!
*Check in for this camp is July 17th at 8:00am. Camp will run from 9:00am-9:00pm each day, with
breaks for lunch and dinner. Camp will conclude on July 19th with check-out at 5:00
High School Team Camp
July 20 - 23
Commuter - $250.00
Resident - $300.00
The UAB camp staff will work individually with each team to train team skills in the following areas:
team drills, offensive and defensive systems (including serve receive formations and team coverage),
transition, conditioning, and team bonding. Morning sessions are devoted to team practices while
evenings will give teams the chance to compete in game like settings. There is no cost for high
school head coaches attending camp. Each assistant must pay $100 for room and board. 3 meals
a day will be provided to all campers and coaches (commuting campers will not receive breakfast)
and is included in camp cost.
*Check in is July 20th at 2:00pm. Camp will run from 9:00am-9:00pm each day, with breaks for
lunch and dinner. Camp will conclude on July 23rd with check-out at noon.
Middle School Team Camp
July 23 - 25
Commuter - $175.00
Resident - $225.00
The UAB camp staff will work individually with each team to train team skills in the following areas:
team drills, offensive and defensive systems (including serve receive formations and team coverage),
transition, conditioning, and team bonding. There is no cost for head coaches/team rep.

Accommodations
All Resident Campers will be accommodated ON CAMPUS using UAB dormitory facilities. Campers
can make roommate requests which will be granted whenever possible. Dorms are within a two
block walk to Bartow Arena. Day camps are commuter only.
Training/Medical Staff
A certified athletic trainer is on site at all times during the camp to attend to any and all medical
needs.
Location/Facility
Camps are held on the UAB Campus. All sessions are conducted in UAB Facilities within walking
distance of dormitories.
Equipment
Campers should bring T-shirts, shorts, volleyball shoes, socks, kneepads, swimming suit, and a water
bottle. Overnight campers should also bring bedding, towels, toiletries, and an alarm clock.
